We farm a 12,000 square foot outdoor plot on the Wagner Farm property. Our students begin planting in mid May from seedlings started in the greenhouse. We harvest vegetables from the outdoor plot from June to October.
We operate under the approved integrated pest management policy of the Glenview
Park District and therefore we do not use any chemical fertilizer or pesticides,
hormones or antibiotics. We grow a wide variety of vegetables and herbs in the outdoor
plot that are available to our CSA members each week.
Please come and visit us at the Farm. You may
not always find students working in the plot,
but we encourage you to walk through and see
how things are growing.
