Students coming to work with Be@the Farm are in school programs taught by the Northern Suburban Special Education District or in a program from one of surrounding local school districts.
Students are coming to Wagner Farm to benefit from agricultural lessons taught in a community based setting, or having already received classroom instruction, are coming to work with Be@the Farm for the hands-on portion of their lesson. We have students joining us as young as five up to students 22 years old who are transitioning out of school into their adult lives.
It is our dream that their experience at Wagner seeds their interest and skill development for a job in the agricultural or horticultural field.
